Suzuki Summer Institutes/Camps

It's time to think about Suzuki Summer Institutes and Camps!

(CORRECTION: the next group class is MARCH 22nd, not April)

Not sure what you've got planned for the summer but want your kids (or even yourself!) to do something musical? A great way to immerse yourself into the Suzuki music world is to do an institute or camp.

Now, when I talk about Suzuki Institutes and Camps, I am including official institutes that are registered with the Suzuki Association of the Americas as well as Fiddle Camps. Although, Fiddle Camps are not technically Suzuki, they share a lot of the same philosophy and ways of learning that a Suzuki Institute would.

What are Suzuki Institutes?

Suzuki Institutes run all over the world. They are an opportunity to spend a week learning from other Suzuki teachers, meet other Suzuki students, take lessons and group classes, see incredible performances and hang out with people who are interested in the same things that you are. There is so much magic in the experiences one receives from an institute and everyone walks away inspired and ready to keep practicing through the summer months.

I recommend SOSI in Kitchener Waterloo and Steven's Point Wisconsin

All other Institutes can be found HERE.

What are Fiddle Camps?

Fiddle camps offer similar experiences to Suzuki institutes MINUS specific Suzuki talk, PLUS a different style of violin playing. FIDDLE MUSIC! There are normally opportunities to learn other aspects associated with fiddle music including learning other instruments, learning about recording and harmonization as well as learning the incredible things we can do with our feet, like Step Dancing!

I recommend Leahy Music Camp in Lakefield Ontario and Goderich Celtic Music Festival

Don't want to leave the city?

I've got your covered with Amy's Violin School Music Camp!

Music Camp will include activities such as Group, Theory and Fiddle classes, listening, individual practice time, recitals, arts & crafts, exercise, reading and lots of creativity!

Find out more in lesson - Registration Available in April!
